Beverly's teacher was a lady who was taught by an old master in Europe.
Beverly has been painting for over 50 years.
Among the many things that Beverly has done over the years in the community, she has volunteered for over 25 years teaching painting to the elders at the Jewish Home in Reseda (Eisenberg Village). Beverly is honored to have helped the elders learning the love of painting and has been in the Jewish Home's Magazine.
Beverly taught at the JCC (Jewish Community Center) for a while. She also at various times has taught painting to students of different ages out of her home.
Beverly's paintings have been exhibited at the beach with over 1500 other artists.
One of her paintings was purchased by an appraiser for a museum many years ago.
She has paintings in homes around California and Hawaii.
Recently Beverly's art was at an exhibit at the Jewish Home in Reseda where the Daily News interviewed her.
Beverly was born Beverly Jean Newman. She was born and raised in Los Angeles by Matthew and Shirley Newman. She has one sister, Ilene. Beverly has lived in the San Fernando Valley for over 30 years and has been married to Mort for over 50 years. While raising her children she had belonged and volunteered for many organizations. Beverly is a mother of 3 grown children: Neal, Susan and Rick. She has 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 29 to 9, Denah, Jared, Brittany, Matthew and Sarah.
This site is dedicated to our mother and grandmother (Nani), Beverly. She has been a great role model, artist, teacher, beloved confidant to all of us and those who are lucky enough to have met and known her. We are so lucky to have gotten some of her artistic genes in our family too. ....
